Joy's spicy chicken Biscratta

Directions:
  1. Set oven to 425 degrees. In medium sized bowl beat eggs, milk, garlic, chili powder, red pepper flakes, paprika, hot sauce until eggs are well beaten.
  2. Pour Mixture into 9-inch glass pie plate, mix in onions and Chik'n nuggets. Put in oven for about 35 mins or until egg mixture is almost fully cooked. Take out of oven. Put biscuit dough, On lightly floured surface, gently roll dough in flour to coat. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll or pat 1/4 inch thick and 9-inchs around. Sprinkle the cheese on top of egg mixture, then place rolled biscuit dough on top. place back in oven for about 14 mins or until biscuit topping is golden brown. Take out of oven. Let sit until cool before serving. Enjoy!

Home Style Baking Powder Biscuits


Recipe:
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk
Directions:
  1.  Heat oven to 450°F. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in milk until dough leaves side of bowl (dough will be soft and sticky).
  2. On lightly floured surface, gently roll dough in flour to coat. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. On ungreased cookie sheet, place biscuits about 1 inch apart for crusty sides, touching for soft sides.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm. Enjoy!
