I was given my rabbit Bunny (hehe Yes, I named her Bunny) when I was about 4 years old, she was a little broken orange Holland Lop, she was my first rabbit, then afterwards I was given her Mom (Bunnies Mom) she was a broken Cream, I lost Bunnies Mom during Hurricane Katrina, I still had my little bunny though so I was happy. She lived to be about 8 to 9 years old. Abigail, Rebekah and Joshua and I decided we wanted to raise some rabbits and we built our rabbit hutch with help and read up on our breeds to see which ones we really wanted, I fell in love with the Netherland Dwarfs, my sisters the Holland Lops and my brother the Mini Satins and Mini Rex. One day we went to our neighbors place to see the rabbits she had for sale,my brother found a Tri Mini Rex doe, Little Zip and I found my little Siamese Sable Netherland Dwarf girl, Sara-Bella. After a little while later we went to our first Rabbit Show in Bartow and bought a group of Netherland Dwarf rabbits from Mrs. Bisbee. We got, Hank BEW, Goob Brkn Choc, Ellie Blk, Twix Choc and our little goofy Poppy Blk Ott, the next show we went to we showed Hank, Ellie, Twix and Poppy and Ellie won her first leg there and so did Hank! =D After a while my brother bought a group of Mini Satin's and thats where we got our buddy Binks. We bought Amidala and she had kits (Dolly and DeDe)! Our next show I picked up a few more legs and my two Sisters Abby and Rebekah bought their first two rabbits Bonnie and Clyde (haha my mom came up with the name) so over the years we got a some more, we try and give each of them a happy life with treats, and spoiling attention <3, I've been watching the judges judge rabbits and different breeds and have always loved judging our homegrowns, I started helping write at the tables to get a better view of the rabbits, too and to help our shows, ever since I read about the judge and ARBA president Oren Reynolds it's inspired me to be that, to be the next best ARBA judge and president, the rabbit world has become to mean much more to me than a hobby; every show I see new judges who have put so many hours into becoming who they are, breeders who have put years of their lives into making the next Best In Show Rabbit, I'm willing to put as many hours as needed into studying and learning to be all that; my rabbits are the world to me <3.
